i can’t believe i didn’t know about maison martin margiela’s Artisanal couture line until now.  it’s all this elevated, painstakingly ornate DIY with the creme de la creme of vintage materials and found items….

….and it’s, like, STUPID too!  a vinyl-record dress.  a christmas-tinsel jacket.  a luggage coat.  a fan bolero.  a friggin “fur” made out of plastic clothing label fasteners….the ones you innocently rip off after buying something way lamer than MMM Artisanal!
