MUSTO UP SOME COURAGE

Recession special:  Joyce to the Leslie!!!
Sorry folks, not wearin’ a bra :)

My intention is definitely not to turn this into a “GAH I met celebrities!” blog, but if you are a pop-culture-obsessed person like myself, ambitions brimming with Billboard/Broadway/Hollywood dreams, wouldn’t you be just a tad excited to actually meet some of the people you watch/listen to/read about on a 24/7 basis?!  I know I am!
Here are some photos from last night’s celebration of Tori Spelling’s new book Mommywood at Rouge Tomate.  Reality cameras were all up in her and her husband’s biz the whole time; I give her tons of credit for maintaining her composure and wearing that big smile all night long. Personally, I don’t think I’m quite ready for a boom mic up my nose while drinking a free vodka cocktail!
Oh, and then there was the step and repeat (photo op in front of the sponsors’ ad banner).  My eyes are really sensitive, and I’m not used to red carpets, so when a bajillion flashes went off in the space of, like, 4 square feet, my eyes started tweaking out and I made some hilarious twisted faces.  I think I should buy a cheap strobe light and just stare into it for 10 minutes every day.
I finally met Christian Siriano, after searching high and low at the last VIP event.  He is a sweetie…he even braved a bum-camera-flash snafu for the good of this photo.

I was really excited to see Justin Tranter from Semi Precious Weapons again…he definitely didn’t recognize me due to the hair change, but our matching FETTY axes shared a little smooch.  PS — Justin’s hawt leggings (can’t see, but they’re a beautiful white-grey in the back) are by Gareth Pugh!!

Orfeh (Tony winner!!!) and Bailey Hanks (reality competition winner!) of “Legally Blonde: The Musical,” a wonderfully kitschy piece of B’way cotton candy.  Orfeh actually performed years ago with my dance company for the In The Spotlight annual Christmas Show in Jerz.  She remembered it too, small friggin world!! :)

Michael Musto, Village Voice gossip columnist extraordinaire, is SO genial and unassuming in person.  I figured he’d be gregarious and bitingly dry, but he’s actually kind of shy.  I loved him for it!  He writes with teeny-tiny, completely illegible handwriting.  He said that’s the way he’s always written, but it works out for him because no one can sneak a peek at the soon-to-be scandals.

Alright….! The first one to say it.

And CONGRATS re: the View. You must continue to post about celebrities! Don’t take that away from us!!

Thank you so much!!! <3

You got it! Now that I have permission, I'll definitely stay true to my propensity towards fangirl behavior :)
